Our current customer Alfred Franks & Barlett PLC (AfB), for whom we regularly carry out gas works, recently contacted our Sales Director asking whether we could help identify and repair a leak with water coming into their warehouse building via the roof valleys in the roof line, causing damage to the stock in the area directly below.
Upon agreeing a competitive price our engineers gained entry onto the roof via a boom lift to be greeted by grass, mud and trees along both valleys approx 80m long!
As you can see from the pictures the team cleared over 100 bags of debris from the valley and gutters along with a tree root in excess of 10m, which was growing down the gully and internally into the building!
These works should have been carried out annually by the current facilities management company but, as you can see from the pictures, it was quite clear that these works hadn’t been carried out in a number of years, hence the call to Thermalair.
Once we cleared and dried the valleys the team carried out remedial repairs including the application of specialist roof paint to the nuts and bolts along the joint lines to fix the leak and prevent future leaks occurring.
